Membership is open to men 18 and older. Applicants must believe in a supreme being. Atheists are not eligible for membership. Applicants must participate in an involved educational and investigative process to be considered for membership.

+ Can women Become a Freemason?

Women can join related bodies, such as Eastern Star & Rainbow Girls

+ Is it expensive to join freemasonry?

Lodges may have initiation fees. Annual dues are not cost prohibitive.

+ Is Freemasonry a Secret Society?

No, We are a society with secrets which uses secret modes of recognition to confirm membership. Freemasonry is an International organization of men where members world-wide take an oath to have your back.

+ Are Shriner’s Freemasons?

Yes, all Shriner’s are Freemasons, but not all Freemasons are Shriner’s. To become a Shriner a Master Mason must apply for membership.

+ Whats The Difference Between the different Masonic bodies?

Initiates enter freemasonry via “Blue Lodge” which consists of the first three degrees culminating at the Master Mason level. Should a Master Mason wish to continue his masonic journey (highly recommended), he may opt to beome a York Rite Mason which consists Royal Arch, Cryptic Masons, and Knights Templar. Knights Templar membership is available to York Rite Masons of Christian Faith, or those who take a vow to protect Christianity. Scottish Rite Masonry consist's of thirty-three degrees. The first 32 are earned and the 33rd degree is merit based.Scottish Rite provides education and life lessons through alegory. Other masonic based groups include the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Grotto, Shriners, Knights of St. Andrew. and a host of others.

+ Initially,can I select which branch of masonry to join?

No. Candidates must first attain the title of Master Mason (3rd degree) before moving on to the concordant bodies (Scottish Rite and or York Rite Bodies,including Shriners and others)

+ Is Kisco Lodge #708 and The Masonic Guild of Mount Kisco Inc. the same?

No.The Masonic Guild of Mount Kisco Inc. is a separate organization not exclusive to masons. The Guild owns and operates the Temple Building, and property.

+ Is membership to Kisco Lodge restricted to Residents of Mount Kisco?

No, membership is open to all men of good character regardless of where they reside. Our members include residents of Westchester Putnam, Dutchess Counties and beyond!
